Who We Are
The YSFlight Black Dragons are OfficerFlake as the Flight Lead and Varren as the Opposing Solo.
- #1 - OfficerFlake
OfficerFlake first started his YSFlight Career in June 2006 after joining YSPilots. Quickly gaining expertise in aerobatics, he was able to premier on such premier display teams as the YSFlight Thunderbirds as Slot Pilot in 2008/2009 and the YSFlight Blue Angels as the Lead Solo in 2011. He now enjoys a more freelance role, writing and performing various routines as airshows come and go.
#2 - Varren
Varren is well known and respected in YSFlight as a YSUpload Administrator and YSFHQ Mechanic. He's also the C-17 Pilot for Sky Surfer Airshows. Despite his lack of Solo demonstrations in the aerobatics field, his skill with the F/A-18A is already quite formidable.
Our demonstration is 15 to 20 minutes long including taxi time for a Local Show, or 10-15 minutes for a Remote Show. It features various maneuvers focused on demonstrating skill in airmanship and communication, not just aircraft maneuverability.
