I bet Kuro's F-16, Decaff's F/A-18, and Scorpia's Aggressors are gonna feel right at home there. THANK YOU!!!

Well, I've finally finished my work on North Las Vegas Airport. Nellis AFB itself is 95% complete and just waiting on a few buildings and start positions. I will start work on Creech AFB soon and am already expanding the scenery for the ranges. All together, the project is around 60% complete so I just need to get the misc. stuff in the middle and Creech. The rest of Las Vegas will not be included in this release. Here's some shots of what everything looks like:

I think the picture above explains enough but to elaborate, the area in the black is what the map will be basically. North of the city, it will just be mountains until you get to the targeting ranges that will be as much like the real things as I can get. Creech AFB will be included since it's a big place that they have UAV operations out of. It's also "Indian Springs" where the USAF Thunderbirds practice.

Okay so, I just got back on dropbox finally. If you have one and are on the YSFHQ Modding Team, you can go to my dropbox folder and find lots of goodies I've collected over the last few years. This includes tennis courts, football fields, runways, taxi lines, and gate markings. I did not and do not intend to upload my map colors because that's one thing that's personal. I think everyone should have their own palette so I'll be keeping mine to myself but feel free to sample some from my released maps to help get your own. All the other stuff in dropbox, feel free to use with credit if it's in there.

Well, good news! Got back to work on some things. Inserted Creech into the North Las Vegas map and have completed the target ranges. Only thing left to do is finish the urban area of NW Las Vegas and the map is ready for release. May be a good Christmas present for you all!

The North Las Vegas Project is complete!!!

It was a long wait for everyone but well worth it I assure you. Below are some extra goodies to look at while your download is going (if you have a slow computer).

Yup, I will make an Aviation Nation version depending on when and if someone wants to host the event. I just want to be sure it's current.

We now have a map for Red Flag operations! Now someone needs to organize something between the YS combat squadrons!
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

Anyways, very well done map, VNAF. It looks fantastic.

Woah it's been a really long time since I've used this thread but I'm gonna try and get back to it. I'm not as active as Decaff is in terms of working on YS projects, but I hope to post more like every other week or so.

Anyways, I've updated the first post with a more representative list of what I'm working on. Screenshots of this work will come soon once I hide my Top Secret methods.

Right now I'm slowly working on finishing KDAB (Daytona Beach International Airport) for Patrick's Florida and Caribbean scenery. I'm also working on a big map project for *withheld* so that's taking a lot of my modding time.

Some stuff has been on the backburner such as my update to Yemen Valley, Louisville, Central/Southern Indiana, and an overall update to the big Vuelo Beach map (not the air show one, the full size).

By the way, I don't really take requests unless you don't mind waiting 15 months

Work on my current home, Daytona Beach International Airport, is coming along very well. It will be submitted to Patrick initially for use in his Florida map while I continue adding detail to the surroundings (gotta include my house...). Then I'll work on some of my other projects and helping in a couple of other people's projects.

Daytona Beach International Airport with an unusual visit from a chartered Delta 767.

Vuelo Beach will have my attention later this week and next week to prep for AirFest. Not much will be done, but some logistical changes will probably be made (stp's and a few ground objects may shift or be added). Then I think I will go back to updating the Louisville map for more detail and accuracy.
