Fixed some issues.
Now with a better cockpit window.
Image
And fixed burner positions. I may replace it with birdfarm burners.
Image
But there's a problem. The cockpit file, which is from the ISAF pack's CFA-44 Nosferatu, isn't showing up properly, as so.
Image
Can anyone provide a clue as to why this happens?

Here is what I have been working on recently.
This is Llanbedr Airfield (ICAO: EGOD), formerly RAF Llanbedr, and DERA Llanbedr. Now it is in the process of being bought by Kemble Airport, which may host air shows such as Llanbedr Air Day in the future.

Llanbedr will feature in the 'Wales map' Dan is currently working on. I will also release Llanbedr as a stand-alone map and an air show map with mile-markers.(maybe some our community's finest air show organisers will make this a potential venue in the future? :D )

Keep this great work Dave :D

I'm working at the airport in Fernando de Noronha, an island well known in Brazil. I'm thinking of adding all the streets and buildings that exist.

Very sure... unless there is a link within the .dat to the position of the .srf file ( which I'm sure there isn't).

How did you add the cockpit .srf? Was the .dnm disassembled, you position the the cockpit .srf with dnmviewer/blender etc... And re-assemble? Or, is the cockpit.srf an external .srf in the .lst? If it is the latter, you need to position the .srf in the .dat.

What I've done is just center the cockpit srf around the same center as the model. I usually insert it into the dnm in blender and move it to the right position, reset the center, and then export it from the dnm as the cockpit srf. Then i delete it from the dnm as to not have duplicates.

I have done a bit more work with Llanbedr. This map now features part of the coast of North Wales.
Image
The black box indicates the edge of the map.
The roads are drivable and are all lit up. (They look very nice at night.)
Image
The longest runway 17/35 features PAPI lights each side. This runway also features ILS approaches.
Image
The Apron area at Llanbedr features Standard RAF style hangers with 2 fuel trucks.
Image
The map features an assortment of buildings such as a disused nuclear power station and lighthouses for pilots to find!

Next, I will be working on the Air show version of the map. And I'l post some screenshots soon to show you what it looks like! :D

Here's a sneak peek at my next project, a quick expansion of my Turbot Island map. So yes, there will be a second island roughly 150 miles to the NE of Turbot Island, with its own city and airport. Clicking on the thumbnail will bring up another image, click on that to zoom in.

My general rant: I will call them blended winglets, not Sharklets; There is no CEO, it's just simply put, an Airbus 319/320/321, or the 320NEO, 321NEO etc. I didn't land IN DAL, I landed AT DAL. On the other hand, I did land in Dallas.

Dave and zak, thanks for the compliments, appreciate it! Yes, us civvies should have more fun with the Turbot Island map now that I'm putting in a second island in there (name of the island and its city will be released with the next screenshot). Depending on how things go I'm also planning on including a general aviaton reliever airport on the island as well.

Looking forward as well to your Wales map that you and Dan are collaborating on. Looks awesome!

Inspired by some of Copperhead's designs/mod images.

Strato-Fighter version YF-23 Black Widow with accompanying Booster.

I haven't forgotten about you, still working on your Boeing ATF. You have some interesting combinations that I took interest in.

Today I've been working on a new MD-902 Explorer to replace Neil's version as a request from Neil. I will be releasing the MD-902 with many liveries including Air Ambulances to Police helicopters. As an additional follow on to this pack I will also be working on a map for Air Ambulance and Search And Rescue sorties.
