Re: New and improved YSFlight wishlist
skycolor = (100000 - height) /100000 * skycolor components.
For example, if the sky at sea level is 90 90 240, at 50,000 feet it'd be 45 45 120, or at 90,000 feet it'd be 9 9 24.
so:
██████████████ 90000
██████████████ 60000
██████████████ 30000
██████████████ 0
if that's not ideal you could just half the altitude applicable, so it only changes above 50000...
if altitude >= 50000 {
[tab4][/tab4]skycolor = ((50000 - height-50000) /50000) * skycolor components.
}
so:
██████████████ 90000
██████████████ 75000
██████████████ 60000
██████████████ 45000
██████████████ 30000
██████████████ 15000
██████████████ 0
My2c anyway.
I hope that comes soon.

1. Enable plane switching for everyone on a server, not just the host, but make a confirmation necessary. That way there won't be trolling. Although maybe that should be a true/false option, because repo scenarios might be fun.
2. Belly landings should be possible, but you should lose health as you skid. Skid too far and you rupture a fuel line and explode.
3. Damaged planes should emit black smoke, though mabe that should be optional.

Re: New and improved YSFlight wishlist
1. When you TailStrike you should see sorta sparks as you would do on other flight simulators meaning you either abort take off or need to return for an emergency landing.
2. (This ones for the civvies) I, out of everything would love to see an autopilot control window, showing a setting that allows you to select an altitude for the autopilot to climb to, maybe even the vertical speed also.
3. Not sure if someone already mentioned this but. I would love to see a little bit of smoke to trail from the aircraft when you touch down.
That's all i can think of at the moment

Re: New and improved YSFlight wishlist
Able to fly under an elevation grid that is moved above ground level.
The second change would be phenomenal*
(*I haven't actually tried this since 2010, so if it works, someone tell me!)

Re: New and improved YSFlight wishlist
That's technically possible - you have a program that changes the WPNSHAPE option in the .DAT for all planes who do not have their own custom flares yet (or change it even if they have that). Only caveat is that you have to run it every time you install a new addon.flyingfisch wrote:customizable flares, on a global basis instead of per plane.
