Good Timezone to you all!

Post by Skipper » Mon Dec 09, 2013 8:50 pm

Hello everyone, old and new...
So, I'm sort of back! Well, truth be told I am just attempting to avoid work..
Some of you may remember me, some not, so for those who do not, let me tell you a tale...
Once uppon a time... In.. 2004.. possibly 2005? There was a little site called YSPilots.com.
I started out here in December of... One of those years... back when the site still smelled of fresh paint and JETA fuel..
I was but a young pilot there, trying to make my mark, flying up there with the best of them... In a spitfire with a rotodome on top...
Many clans were joined, and started, planes were modded, YSP became YSP2, then life happened, I did a degree, became a farmer for 2 years... and now I am here... Doing a Masters degree and avoiding writing an essay on the use of GIS and Wind Farm development...
So! Hello to you all!

Welcome back Skipper. We'd love to have you return to the YSFlight community, on it's new home: YSFlight Headquarters. Let me know if you ever need anything.
I make this website.

Well, it is good to be back. Not sure yet if I'll be doing any modding, might have a go again.. We shall see
By the way, is everyone still using the same modding tools as before? Have the python tools been updated? Metasquoia?
(Found a half complete FW200 in GAC style in my modding folder...Image)

I would say yes.
Everybody is still using Gepolyx/o, the Perl scripts and Blender. The Python scripts haven't really been updated for about 4 years now... :?

Yea, I used it too. Just downloaded the latest one... Works the same, just with new icons.. bah!
I might have a go on it... Failing that.. will just be a GAC style Kondor...
Think I've got some other GAC style stuff that never got released too.. I think there is a puma in there.. not sure what else

Madness I know :)
I'm not gonna be on as much as I have in the past, (Masters degree isn't going to pass it'self! ) and Mrs Skipper (Miss actually), so YS will take a slightly back seat... But I'll be around ;)
