For Blender: Select wing -> Scripts Window -> Scripts -> Object -> Unshadow.

yup...shading issues. In the draw type window, select the solid viewmode. you will be able to see any shading things that will appear in the model. (This is the default viewmode when opening a new file.)

One way is to apply the Edgesplit modifier, though this essentially doubles the file size of that srf, and makes it substantially harder to edit later on.

Another way is to separate the top and bottom halves of the wings. Select the faces of the top half of the wing and separate it by pressing P. Exit Edit mode, and join the two halves of the wing together by pressing crtl-j.

Hope this helps.

Screenshots help a lot for trouble shooting. Also, saave often so when something bad happens, close out and re-open the file. blender does not auto save.

Hey glad you figured it out! There is not any real standard form you gotta use to ask for help, but the general rule of thumb, is GIVE ALL THE INFO!!!!!!! :D

Pictures, descriptions, and on the real stumpers; the files, are all extremely helpful for other people to understand your problem, and help you out. I know that there is a lot to learn, but we're here for ya! Ask away. 8-)

Blender likes to double check sometimes.
So when you press New, a box appears to make sure you really want to delete everything on your screen, like this:

If you move your mouse away immediately after clicking New, the box will disappear.

Goto the box that is like this. Then click Scripts. When that is selected click scripts, Mesh, YS Face mode.

At the bottom left corner, there is a button called ZA. Enter the ZA value you want. It ranges from 0 (non transparent) to about 250-300 (fully transparent).

Okay but is there a certain transperency level that everyone sets it to? I put mine up to 255 which is as high as it lets me go

Transparency value ranges from 0-255. At max value of 255 it becomes invisible. For canopies a good starting value is 200 if you are not certain what to use.

Yup 200 is good. Don't forget to tap the double sided button to make sure that the canopy has the same transparency from inside and outside (Made that mistake a few times myself).

Im so tired of Blenders BS man. I sat there and paint the frogfoot's top halve, then when I finish selecting the faces of the second half and select a color of paint the whole thing turns white, and I made sure to unselect the top half faces.

So far for the HQP:GAC Su-25K I have found the model I am editing, made a transparent cockpit, painted the blank version for the most part and fixed any issues related to it, but I need help on all of the following, and I have DNMViewer, but don't know how to use it
So I did most of the blank paint of the HQP:GAC Su-25K and what I have to do left is:
Lights - CLA 30, 31, 32 (Have no idea how to add them/make them, DNMViewer maybe?)
Low-Poly Base Cockpit Silhouette and Pilot in the Main DNM (Have no idea how to make those either)
Tail Hook (Have no idea how to Import it/Animate it)
Panel Lines (Have no idea how to add them)
Blank Version (Working on it)
Working Cockpit inside DNM (Don't know how to do that either)
Please Help Me
