Re: WW3 Server
He doesn't have to start enabling other packs, I just think the server seems less complete without the other planes.
That's all just IMHO though.

Re: WW3 Server
1. GACrp is many times larger than GAC itself, increasing log in time. I'm sure that the old WW3 server was renowned for it's speedy log in times. Enabling the entire GACrp will be a headache.
I'm sure that you (flyingfisch), as a Linux user complaining about login times, wouldn't want that.
2. GACrp has a handful of cheatplanes. You wouldn't like the WW3 server if someone dominates the entire map with a T-2ADV Searchlight...

Amen to that.NightRaven wrote:someone dominates the entire map with a T-2ADV Searchlight...
Well I do agree that the GACrp is a great pack to have, since it fills the niches of some of GAC's missing planes *cough* American Phantoms and Retro MiG jets *cough*, I believe the implications outweigh the benefits. I'm currently happy about the current list of aircraft that is available, plus not all of them are used frequently *cough* jet trainers can be fun too *cough*.

Re: WW3 Server
Added a announcement on the homepage that displays how many users are currently on the server, as the serverlist isn't working properly. This updates as long as yschat is running.

Re: WW3 Server
Criterion: I attempted to add only aircraft which were A)Real, in real paints. B)Combat worthy - I added Air Force One as a possible escort target, but very few other civilian planes. I also omitted planes in demonstration teams, and generally aggressors. While these are excellent, someone else may suggest them.
Where there are multiple planes of the same type and mark, my recommended paint is in bold. "US_A-7D_Corsair_II"

Re: WW3 Server
I used to fly plenty of civi flights on the old ww3 server. It's cool because it really pushes your skills, landing in small fields especially.

Re: WW3 Server
You all have up until Friday at 11:59pm GMT to send your addon suggestions in. At that point I will come up with a list of non-standard GAC planes to add. Over the weekend I'll be adding in these to the server. I want the LST file to stay below 600 lines, so not all your suggestions may be added. Please understand that this is a COMBAT server, so make your choices with that in mind.
