I introduced him into the Harrier, which he seems to be very interested in, so im guessing Thrust Vector

Re: .dat file for vtol
Imagine a line starting at 0 0 0 and drawn to the point specified. the direction this arrow points is the direction the thrust goes.
for eg try these:
THRUSTDIR0 0m 0m -1m
THRUSTDIR1 0m -1m 0m
(Although I could be wrong and it's acutally inverted... IE from the point towards 0,0,0...)
I trust you already know that X Y Z is Left/Right, Up/Down, Forwards/Backwards?

Re: .dat file for vtol
Code: Select all
TRSTVCTR TRUE #HAS THRUST VECTORING CAPABILITY?
TRSTDIR0 0.0m 0.0m 1.0m #Thrust vector 0
TRSTDIR1 0.0m 1.0m 0.0m #Thrust vector 1
Y is left/right
Z is up/down
X is forward/backward
This is actually a common aerospace Coordinate system setup for aircraft, although for whatever reason we have the positive z axis direction pointing to the ground...Don't ask me why.
