I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

It's really starting to come together.
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

I'm very impressed with the last pic (the Foxbat and Foxhound one). You nailed the angling and it looks 'right'. I especially love the way you drew the cockpit of the 'hound.

Been quite busy with these past few months. I've decided I'd took Arts and Crafts as an elective subject for SPM. So, it gave me an excuse to let me spend some time to draw as uhh...practice...

Back in April, I did work on a pink jasmine flower, part of an assignment. Basically, it's just a matter of picking your favorite flower and recreate it on a big piece of paper. Knowing nothing about flowers, I decided to work pick the one I deemed most elegant looking. As I'm not that good with oil, or using paint, I used a rather unconventional (at least what it seemed at the time) color pencils.

This picture shows the early stages of coloring. As you can see, I only sketched the outlines and other details I though necessary. I left the background open because I didn't want to overload myself. I also did some color test by mixing color pencils with each other. I started with the red edges, then applying pink, finishing of with a deep golden yellow and orange shadows in the middle.
Image

It took me about 7 hours to finish coloring the petals. But I think it was worth it. I'm surprised and thnakful that it looked a lot like what I was aiming for, tbh. Also, you can see I started to try out shades of green and yellow in order to color the leaves.
Image

Annnd it's done! I didn't put too much effort on the background and leaves, since I'm puffed out and was tired. Overall, I was happy and contempt with the portrait of this pink jasmine flower.
