March 2014 - ATC Session?

Post by acf492 »

Hello again,

I'm interested in another ATC session. Who'd like to participate? Some time in March would be good.

I am interested in doing an ATC session provided it's somewhere between March 16 and March 23rd. That's Spring Break for me, don't have much time otherwise this semester. I understand that may not be the best time for others, just that I can come only in *that* timeframe.

I'd love to join in. Hopefully around this same time. I wouldn't mind being a controller. Otherwise I'd be putting the controller's skills to the test

Yes lets do this! If you need a controller I'm available. Experience includes the 7 hour Lihue ATC we organized last year that was a complete success. Equally I'd love to some charter flights. ;)

if any one can remember the 7 hour long atc session a few of the va guys put on last year, we are currently planning to attempt another one, however, we would appreciate it if more people could control other airspace rather than only having 3 controllers on hand. if any one is interested in helping with the controller aspect, please pm me. We will stick to the same rota with each controller having a break, and a relief controller taking over. Dates and maps will be spoken about in the meeting we have before we continue with the planning. :D

Quick question though-will you be using the 2011 or 2013 version of YSFS?

Server will be running either 2011 or 2009, we are not sure yet, it all depends on the server we have hosting :D

As long as you communicate through ATC and don't cause any trouble, it's fine by me :D

After a little planning today, we have decided to add combat zones, military operations inside these zones will be ATC free. However when you leave these areas ATC rules will apply. Failure to co-operate with the ATC will mean a kick from the ATC server after 3 warnings. (The map that shows the combat zones will be released in due course) ;)
