Welcome to the Virtual Airline Server, a dedicated server for virtual airlines and civilian aviation. This server was created on a basis that the YSFlight civilian section should fly together as a community instead of operating on individual servers the topic for this can be found here:http://forum.ysfhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=140&t=6001. This server is for those who want to fly with traffic passing each other in the skies to different destinations, and also meeting like minded members under one roof.

Air Traffic Control
Are you interested, and would like to control aircraft? pop on the server and feel free to control anywhere! VAS allows anyone willing to provide Air Traffic Control and will also aim to help those who want to learn. VAS will also be providing full-on Air Traffic Control sessions by YSVATC with communications on the YSFHQ Teamspeak server and text. We aim is to provide a realistic and enjoyable experience for Air Traffic Control with a relaxed atmosphere.

Virtual Airlines
There's nothing better than sharing airports and the skies with other airlines, so why not switch to VAS? The civilian community is currently very isolated with an assortment of different servers which is something we want to change. As a dedicated Virtual Airline server we will also allow Virtual Airlines to recruit on the server to their hearts content!

Operating Times
We try to keep the server up for as long as possible. We understand that as the server is in GMT timezone it means many people in USA, Canada, Brazil and Indonesia etc cannot fly. At certain times, mainly during holidays the server will be run for 24 Hours. To find out when the server switches to 24 hours please contact me via PM.

[listbox=]weekends: 16:00 - 21:00 GMT
weekdays: 18:00 - 21:00 GMT
Please note that the start time or end time may vary on some days. Sometimes if activity is high extended time will be issued, meaning the server will carry on till 22:00 GMT.[/listbox]

Installed Aircraft packs
If you would like to see a civilian airline/aircraft pack added to the server, please contact me via PM.

Rules
SpoilerShow
-As we are not military orientated weapons rules do not apply.

1) Do not start from the runway, start from the terminal or air.

2) Please respect other pilots. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

3) All jetisonable tanks need to be dropped over water and not in runways or populated areas.

4) Please be patient and do not interrupt Air Traffic Control, this means one aircraft communicating at a time.

5) All Air Traffic Controllers are briefed before the session, which means we do not accept controller requests during the session.

6) This server is for people who want to fly civilian aircraft properly, if you join with a purpose other than this you will be removed. furthermore anyone who has a purpose to disrupt operations on VAS will be also be removed.
Awards
Due to the fact that the domain name ends with "servebeer" we are taking advantage of this. An amazing touch down in VFR or IFR Conditions will be awarded with a "Pint". We award a "Pint" as a picture you can wear next to your signature.

We a also have an award for most active Virtual Airline which is awarded every 3 months:

Yea I've been waiting for the server to come online... But nada.

I thought it was an internet connection as I could barely get on the other servers.

Also I have fixed the server IP change over to the new vas.servebeer.com so there should be no problems after I rigorously tested it last night.

Okay, after another look I do have the NWA Pack installed which could be the issue. Would you think removing it might solve the problem?

Replacing the offending .dat entry would be better.Leave the max speed and lower the cruising to under max speed.Or you could just remove the entry for the [NWA]Airbus 318 from the NWA pack and if problems continue with the pack than remove the pack.Just my opinion you do what you think is best its your server ;)

Usually when you get there errors, it can't always be easily linked to a specific aircraft (something YS needs improvement on), primarily in such cases. If that's an error you recently started getting, the best bet would be that it is from one of your recently installed add-ons. Sadly, I get stoned with a million error messages when I join servers, or sometimes a while after when someone uses a problematic plane.
So as I said, if it just started happening for you, it's one of the add-ons you recently installed.

Fresh YS build should fix that... I think.
