WW3 Weekends

Post by Nodoka Hanamura »

I wish to bring before the YSFHQ MilAv Community, a Event that will (hopefully) reignite the flames of war.

WW3 Weekends
The basis is simple. Everyone will pick a side, BLUFOR, OPFOR, or Spectator. BLUFOR will be on IFF1 and Consist of any aircraft that can fly on IFF1 (US,JP, UK, FR, CA, etc.) OPFOR will be on IFF4 and will consist of any aircraft that can fly on IFF4. (RU, KP, CN, etc.) Spectators Can switch between IFF1 and IFF4 Freely, but can only Fly Civil Aircraft. (CIV).

There are Three Objectives for BLUFOR and OPFOR:
* Seize Kamijion. (This can be done by destroying all assets on Kamijion (Including the USS Wasp.)
* Maintain Air Superiority. (Shoot down as many aircraft as possible.)
* Destroy the Enemy's Launch points. (The Russian and American Air Bases, the RU and US Carriers (Yes, the one with the burkes.), and the Last resort bases (The Highway runways).)

There is no Limit to how many lives there can be per person, however, there may not be more than 2 Su-37s or F-22s deployed at the same time, or 2 MiG-35s or F-35s.

At your Discretion, you may set up a squadron for this event with other pilots here in the forum. or you may work alone. it is your choice.

The rules are the same as all other servers, Don't vulch (Ground And Naval Vehicles are excluded), don't engage civilians, however, the 3 flare system is to be respected at your discretion. and Finally, All Ground objects that can be targeted are fair game.
At the end of each day, you can defect, however, you can only defect once per operation.

The Event will happen every other week, friday through sunday, starting at 3PM EST (7PM GMT) Friday, to 9 PM EST Sunday (1AM). However, it will begin this week. on friday.

You will obviously need GAC, GSC, and the 2ch maps, Which is available in a archive below:
http://www.4shared.com/rar/dryAJUnGba/GAC-GACRp.html

The Next event will be from July 4th to July 7th. Until then, Make your body ready. I know Reggie has.

Also, for those in Squadrons, Please note, you May Reserve your Squadron if you are a Squadron CO or XO. However, it may be split up into sub squadrons if is too large and is deemed to cause a problem with game fairness or balance. I will allow at the most a 3 player difference in the teams. What this means is that an no time will there be a instance of a team having 5/9 (a 4 player difference) or 11/5 ( 6 player difference).

I want in, IFF1. Also, can active 57th personnel join on IFF1 too this week? We haven't had much since that patrol.

BTW, why can't it be IFF1 = NATO?

Perfectly fine by me, GMan. Just keep your briefcase away from Kamijion. The locals are afraid of enough things. They don't need your creepy case. You're just lucky they can withstand you.

Very well, decaff. just join and stick to a side. if you don't like that side you can switch at the end of the day. just remember you can't switch back.

I think I can make it at the end of it, I'll try my best to get up early. The event starts 3AM here, and I'm not sure if I can get up in time.

But if I do manage to get in on time, I'll be on IFF1 in a Swiss F-5E.

EDIT: @Copperhead Awwww yeah, 404th Not Found Squadron!

You should also restrict the number of MIG-35s flying at the same time to like 2x max. Same for the F-35

The MIG-35 is as agile as the F-22 and the F-35 tops the F-16 + stealth. On the original WW3 server both of them were the most OP fighters at dogfights below 12g.

Suggestion: Extend the event to 3AM GMT (2 more hours). There's a little bit of inactivity when we peeps in the Asia-Pacific region start waking up. By extending it, at least some of us would be able to rouse ourselves enough to get on.

We'll Resume around 7 PM EST.
I need to have some things done, forgive me.

If you saw what was there before: Scratch that. We're continuing as i promised, even if it rains.
EVEN IF IT RAINS C4.

Now for My Honorable Mentions:
Best KIll/Humiliating Death: Decaff's SEAD Failure at Lavonin.. Decaff was flying a B-2 and me and Seagull Went down on him, only to either be shot down by the LAST SAM Site, or Crash.
Best Oops! Moment: Someone's VulchMail Delivery: (I don't remember who it was) On Friday, I dropped Two 500 Pound Bombs on the USS Wasp, only to Blow someone in a harrier out of the sky just after he took off. Ironically, i got caught in the blast.
Best Teamwork Moment: A Blackjack was escorted by NightRaven and Iqmal, only to be shot down by the Decaff and Greenhorn at very low altitude, which the escort and blackjack was also flying at.

Share your Best moments Below, and Remember to come back on May 16-18 for the next Session of WW3 Weekends!

My B-2 run was tons of fun. Wiped out most of your patriot missiles and base defenses before you guys found me. :D Also did like 300 AGL over the mountains behind your base. that was some fun flying.
