It appears the 666th squad members are real life friends of Redwing.

I will not be associated with someone who allow this kind of behavior, therefore, I left the squad.

Emm, I think you quoted the wrong person.
Varren wrote:Welp, it appears the person fighting against the 501st (666th Leader) is actually RedWing himself.

I had a look at the WW3 Server logs, 666th leader's IP is the same as Redwing's Teamspeak IP.

This all reminds me of me years ago. Eh Varren 444CV? Now to let the hate come... :D
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

this topic is kind of depressing though

its as if squad combat is so dead Redwings only option to drum up activity was to start a war with himself

I think this is one for the YSFHQ History books: Don't try some sneaky shit to gain popularity. It will just end in hilarity (at your expense).

-- Tue May 06, 2014 10:46 am --

(haven't laughed so hard at a YSFHQ thread in a little while though haha.)
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

That's why if I want popularity, I make my own hilarity.

Just knew about this now, one of my wingman reported the topic to me.

S.A.R.F. has been inactive for some time, now we are planing on a temporary providence for this situation. We will be working as a team with the 8th TFS Grun Squadron.

Under UPEO (SARF) jurisdiction I will be conducting patrols on the WW3 Server with other SARF pilots should they be around and I will report my findings.

Btw Ray, I've been trying to get ahold of you but I haven't got a response. If you'd like to help out with these patrols gimee a shout on Skype.

The best thing we can do atm I think is to not hype too much about it, and shoot em down via any means necessary if we see them.

I don't think we will see them again. the whole 666th idea was to create rivalry with the 501st (which was not a bad idea actually).
The 501st being pretty much dead now, I wouldn't be suprised to see them rise under another name... Like a group a russians maybe ? :P If it's them, they came back with a better attitude.

Knew it was Red..

That was a poor try, guess we won't see him for a while, at least not as "Redwing".

Could be them. But they're a little too skilled for a bunch of nooblets.

But as this bounds on the precipice of changing the topic, we should talk about this elsewhere.

I would not necessarily say they are newbs or skilled players...think they had to do something with the Epic Server, or some sort of Japanese/German squadron (literal).

I wouldnt go so far as to assume that the Ruskies on 42S have any connection to the Triple 6th. You could maybe try and argue that the 3 pilots we encountered earlier today in an anti-troll sortie were the same 3 pilots of the 666th, but I doubt it. Redwing would be more of a challenge, unless he's doing this for the lols.

Either way, no evidence. At least...not yet. Check the server logs and compare the IPs if you can, just to see.
