Why not fly General Aviation?
*And I'm the only one who likes the Piper Washin Air-Makin plane on YS lol*
I have an idea:
YS Flying Club
This people fly GA planes like real life flying clubs and training new members on training GA planes.
Here's the fleet it should have if this idea is accepted:
Piper Lance
Piper Cherokee
Piper Arrow II, III and the one with the T-tail, the Arrow IV
Beechcraft Duchess
Beechcraft Duke
Beechcraft Baron
Little Cessnas
More

EDIT: Also modders should not only focus on airliners and military aircraft because there is GA planes (As I can see there is too few of them, the only things I can see are the C182s of PMNV pack and the Piper in default YS, So i think modders should focus too on this type.

Re: Why not fly General Aviation?
I'm a student on C152's myself and I wouldn't mind training people.
It reminds me of the good ol' YSRAAF days - teaching folks in the P/C-9A's instrument navigation...

I love GA, which is why I've done so many Cessnas and Beechcrafts. When I finish my current project I'll look at this.

Re: Why not fly General Aviation?
Actually small jets and even corporate jets are indeed part of general aviation. It's anything that's not on a schedule or for hire.flamerboy67664 wrote:Small jets are not part of the GA type, but helicopters (Civil ones like R44, Bell 206) are.
I only find myself flying simple aircraft that are somewhat maneuverable. I fly the Cricri and BD-5 a lot. It would be nice to see someone upgrade the L-39 since it's fun to fly around recreationally and in formation. I also like flying the Cessna 172 of course since that's what I fly anyways.

Here's a picture of the 420 Mile challenge which was a routing from Lihue to Hilo in a Piper seneca II. Event's like this I may do again.
3 Boeing Sterman's.
2 grob Tutor G115E Aircraft on a VFR flight around Hawaii.
And finally, a An 2 colt bus landing challenge

Also have a 150, 310, 337, and 421 in the works, but it's been forever since I touched them.

Re: Why not fly General Aviation?
Skydefier has a a pack with a good selection of Cessna's 2 versions with pontoons. And of course TF58 also has many GA aircraft in his stable Cessna's and Kingair 200.And I posted a version of the Kingair 99a.And turbofan has a repaint pack of TF58s Kingair 200.All should be available on YSU for down load.It is true that GA on Ys has been shortchange as a result of the combat and VAs trying to make a needed recovery here. And I find myself in the position of being in agreement with flamerboy67664 in regards to GAs.
P.S. Still waiting on that mooney guys.

Anyway, his fave plane was a Mitsubishi MU-2, but there was only ever the default YS Flight version available.
Every time I worked on my model for YS, I haven't forgotten Arnie's love of this plane, nor how often we butted heads, lol.

Re: Why not fly General Aviation?
I remember Arnie from YSTK. Good times. I think he also was in charge of the Aerobatics section of the forums. When I came along he had already founded YSTK Global Lines (later on becoming YGL Corp). Then Cruising (Jetliner) and I took over and you know the rest. Anyway, back to topic...Skyline wrote:Kind of in the being of GA, YSTK had a member named Arnie, who co-founded one of the first YS civil airlines.

I do fly GA planes from time to time, mostly offline. Or you will see them in my videos. My fifth map will have more GA-friendly airfields (work has started but is going rather slow at the moment).

You don't need approval from anyone. Start it up.

THIS. Flake's response goes for anyone: I should be concerned if you have to come ask me for approval first. Take some initiative and get something going without approval. 90% of the time we'll love what you are doing.OfficerFlake wrote:You don't need approval from Eric. Scarecrow runs the joint now anyway.
