[SCENERY] The Bahamas and Turks & Caicos - UPDATE 14 July 14

Post by Neocon » Thu Jul 10, 2014 4:44 am

This map includes the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos. There are many islands, which are called "cays", spread over a huge area. There is 1 heliport and 67 open airports ranging from larger international airports to small air strips on private islands, all of which have start positions. There are also two airports that are closed. This map is aimed towards civlian flight, with few military facilities. The large number of small airports makes this a great map for general aviation. The Red Dawn edition includes a Soviet fleet moving north from Cuba towards Cay Sal. A NATO fleet has assembled near Ocean Cay. This map uses a combination of stock ground objects, as well as my own ground objects pack.

Does this beat Moro's record for most airports on single map?

My general rant: I will call them blended winglets, not Sharklets; There is no CEO, it's just simply put, an Airbus 319/320/321, or the 320NEO, 321NEO etc. I didn't land IN DAL, I landed AT DAL. On the other hand, I did land in Dallas.

That is the highest amount of airports I've seen on one single map....

No idea. Does Red Dawn actually work on your computer?

EDIT: I also just noticed that the sky isn't red on Red Dawn. It should be. I must have messed something up.

yes it does work offline. Screenshot I posted were taken in it.

don't know if it has anything to do but, the name of the map on the server is ''BAHAMAS-TURKS_AND_CAICOS-RED_DAW''

The ''N'' is missing at the end. I tried logging after editing the LST by removing that ''N'' letter. still didnt work

This is an important update. I changed the Red Dawn edition so it is now named "RedDawn" instead of "Red_Dawn". Apparently "Red_Dawn" made the name too long for the servers. I also fixed the sky so it is red like it was supposed to be all along.

Thank you Patrick, Sky is now red offline and I guess the shortened name will do the trick for network play. We now need MidnightRambler to update the server :)

Another problem was found with the IFF for the NATO fleet. I fixed it.
Here is a direct link to download just the .stp file for Red Dawn to fix the problem.
