I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

Right I have started to a new repaint. The repaint I have started is a sunset back ground with a woman on the tail with a tiger on another tail. The aircraft I am going to repaint is a f-86f. He is the progress so far
Image

I know what you going to say, Why is it nearly all blank? Because I only just started on it today. I planning to do all the decals, updating the cockpit, fix gears and more stuff when I get there but for now on, I be just be doing most of the repaint on the f-86f for now on.

*update*
I only painted the rest of the body and one part one elevator.

Work on MotoGP bikes:

Model Changes:

I'm at work at the moment and unfortunately can not grab a screenshot...

But anyways, today, I have modified the MotoGP bikes to look more like the Yamaha R6 or Honda CBR600RR - pointy nose and duck tail, looks quite the secks.

Now the new generation of bikes will have the rider modified as well (so no more wonky stick figures with half assed boobs).

Performance upgrades:

The bikes performance will see an upgrade - Top speed will increase by 20%, so the bikes can now reach about 360km/h as opposed to about 300km/h that they currently do.

Acceleration will increase 25% or so - these bikes handle more like 600s at the moment, which is not quite correct.

Brakes MAY get toned down a bit - they are too effective at stopping the bike I think. With the higher speeds though, we shall see how they go.

Turn rate will see a small improvement as well, maybe an extra degree per second - I find this excessive myself as the bikes do turn very fast as is at high speed but they just don't seem to cut the mustard at low speed.

Also to be adjusted in the DAT is the variable to remove the gunsight reticle.

One last thing: An optional soundpack (will sadly overwrite your current one) with motorcycle engine sounds.

Teams and Liveries:

"But Flake why do I care about the GP bikes???"

Well, I'm also planning on painting the bikes up into teams.

If you want a bike done, let me know via a PM what colors you want.

Better yet - send a mspaint edit of a bike already.

Recolors are very easy - recuts are a bit harder and take more time so please be realistic in what you ask.

Things I'm happy to do involve color swaps on the fairings, rims, rider, chain, brakes etc...
Things I'm okay with but may take time - stripes, polygons cuts etc.
Things I'm NOT okay with - Decals/Vynals, riding style modifications... If you want this done, please do it yourself.

I will also provide a blank model (soon) for those whom wish to edit the bike themselves - please note that the model needs to be approved by myself in order to be raced with!

MotoGP Championship (2015?):

"But Flake, why would I WANT a team?"

Well, Venom and I are going to start up the MotoGP tournament soon.

I aim to create a racetrack and host a race day every 2 to 3 months.

The winner of the season will get an their own personalised bike to their exact specifications for the next race season.

Probably will only be 4-6 races in the year, but we may have more.

Already there is Silverstone, Phillip Island and Vuelo Beach GP circuits, we intend to make more on the maps you love!

What this means for airshow hosts:

If you wish to team up so your show has an official YSFlight MotoGP race at your desired venue, we will endeavour to create a track at your venue for the show.

Questions?

Please speak to OfficerFlake only at these early stages. Soon we will create and official thread, rules guide and etc for the coming season.
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

Sounds very cool to me for an update, Flake. I'd like to see it soon :D

I have had a project going for a while now involving the 2009 Belgium AF F-16 Demo Team. I still have the underside to do (which I would need someone's help for) the back ailerons / elevators, and then the belgium flag on the top along with other small details and I should be done after that. I have an edited .dat file which makes it perfect to fly at airshows and it's a low lag BNI version of the F-16 :)

The stock Piper Archer has been in my work folder since about 2009, but I finally decided to work on it today. The model I started on five years ago didn't even have the new navigation lights on it, so I added my own. I'm cleaning up the polygons to remove all the decals and make a blank. I also plan to add a simple interior and possibly transparent windows.

Im almost done with the gear/ door animations, but I'm wondering what their CLA's should be? I've assigned Gear Door 2 CLA for two sections of the gear door and gear door 1 for another part of the gear door, but I don't know if I'm doing this right.

To be honest I still refer to this nearly every time I animate things.
