Actually, I think you should let this one be Venom. The C-130 is actually used by the US Navy and Marine Corps, even though it may not be used on a carrier, there are other aircraft that are naval that do not go on carriers as well (P-8 Orion).Venom wrote:albertlau128 wrote:"Air Squadron, ROLL OUT~~"
A C-130 is not a Naval Aircraft, that screenshot is disqualified, you can re-submit if you'd like!

Exactly. The screenshot is disqualified, he can re-submit a new entry.

pre-1962...
oh cool another...
but wait there's more!
more?
Yes!
Please no more!
Just some lists of Russian Japanese British and American naval aircraft. I think that any aircraft that's been flown by any navy is a naval aircraft, as long as it portrays the designated insignias and stickers. So a 737 will qualify as a naval aircraft as long as it says "Property of the United States of America's Navy" on its behind.

Re: Screenshot Contest Discussion
Do C-130's land on a carriers? No. End discussion. Unless the aircraft has navy insignia, it is not a navy aircraft. He is disqualified.VNAF ONE wrote:The picture of the C-130 says USAF though, which could still be argued "naval" since it's not uncommon for the navy to use USAF aircraft for their own logistics operations. However, since there are USMC C-130's in YS that could have been used instead, I agree that that photo should be disqualified. The other photo of the A-10 should also be disqualified because the A-10 is pretty much completely conventional and never has been used in any navy for any naval purposes, even though it was proposed at some point.

Re: Screenshot Contest Discussion
I could name quite a few non-carrier-based naval aircraft that DO qualify as naval aircraft because they DO say Navy on them.

Idk why he's trying to argue with me on this. I meant carrier-based aircraft. I have edited the rules accordingly.

Those aircraft are from a fictional pack, which was meant to include carrier based aircraft REPRESENTING a naval squadron, therefore the A-10 is a fictional naval variant.
