Beam me up Scotty
I was landed on the carrier near French Frigate in the NCA 777-200, in Guam-to-SoCal. Just laying there and chatting with hazard, we where doing carrier landing with airliners, then suddenly, for no apparent reason, the carrier disapeared under me. It actually happened 2 times, but the first time i thought ground objects dissapeared. The second time, I opened the NAV menu only to find out i was now about 480 miles from french Frigate O_o ...
what happened is a mystery... But it was cool because Hazard then looked for me with username circle turned off. This could actually be very nice it could be done on purpose, allowing some kind of ''search parties'' to be organized.
I tryied to recreate the glitch, without success. Didn't wait very long tho, it was late and I was tired. I want to know if we get teleported at a random place, or always 480 nM west of French Frigate.
anyone had this happen before?

Well either that, or it was the final count down as Gunny suggested.

It was instatenous! Couldn't see a thing but a carrier vanishing under me!Hoonigan wrote:Find any WWII fighters while you were on the other side?
Make sense to me. thanks for the info!Stingx wrote:Actually, it's usually caused by the server when respawning ground objects. I think the YS client, over time, loses the exact position of map center (decided by the server), and then it is only recovered when the objects are revived.
Do not worry, it was fun, and it can be exploited for more funPatrick31337 wrote:There is a possibility that I respawned the ground objects. I did that randomly because it had been a while and I thought it might be needed. I don't know when all this happened and I don't remember the exact time I respawned the objects.
