Nope, it will actually be a much larger map (and fictional, yet again :P)

My general rant: I will call them blended winglets, not Sharklets; There is no CEO, it's just simply put, an Airbus 319/320/321, or the 320NEO, 321NEO etc. I didn't land IN DAL, I landed AT DAL. On the other hand, I did land in Dallas.

I'm going to try to do most of the remaining buildings in my map with elevation grids. I'm still not sure what to do with the bridges, though.

YSF knows when wheels contact the ground because it knows when to make the touchdown tire squeal. What it needs is to also have a CLA number added for tire smoke. Until that happens I don't know any way to replicate it.

what about the rotating tire CLA? Is that specifically for rotation? Even if it is, you could apply a Variable geometry CLA to it as well so that it only happens during a specific Speed range.

This would make it less realistic, but would kind of imitate the effect if you could land at the same speed every time.

Yeah, the smoke could appear at touchdown and rotate around the tires, but stop once it gets under 100kts using variable geometry. But does the rotating keep going in the air?

As best I can recall, wheel rotation stops at liftoff. Presumably you could apply a clockwise rotation and a counterclockwise rotation to the same object, cancelling the rotation but keeping the on-the-ground presence, and set that as a child to a VGW CLA.

Well things have been going well with the 757. I had to rip out most of the cockpit from the original model, but a lot of framework things are still in there. I re-used a few components from my 737 cockpit, however I reduced the amount of text and also the number of features in order to streamline everything and get it down to a reasonable size. As it stands right now the entire cockpit shown below is 11,000 faces even with the instruments. This brings the grand total for the entire model (With instrument panel) to a mere 22,000 faces. The instruments are around 6,000 faces, so the mesh for the final model will be significantly lower than the 727 or 707. I feel that this is pretty close the Takety's 737 detail level.

Here's an updated picture of the cockpit (I worked on it since the post in my WIP topic)

Here's a shot of the model with all the animations working!

:o :o :o I WANT. Nice work!
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.
