free aviation software.

This site offers an E6B,navigation and Pro navigation software for windows Xp the down load is free and you will need to register the software BUT when I went to register the software I was given the key for free because they are
considered unsupportable because so is Xp.But the down load links are still active.
I will from time to time update with other relevant software as they become available. But the new trend is starting to look like payware on line utilities are the new thing and stand alone aviation freeware for the desktop is getting tough to come by.

Here are a couple of other nice FREE programs for windows up to Vista*warning.
A student level E6b like calculator and weather radar display for your desktop both are free but you will still have to register them but registry is free. And actually they are inexpensive if you do want to pay for them to get that little extra. The weather radar of course requires a internet connection. But if you didn't have it you would not be seeing this would you.

Here is site with a veritable plethora of software for free down loads the only kicker is most of them are abandon ware or are no longer supported this is a case of down loader beware. Not of viruses but more like will it actually work some of them are so old and many are DOS or vary old windows programs. But it is fun to look over and hey there free. But some of them are almost current.Just a note for those who may not know if the description included the term DUATS you may not even want to bother unless you have a current pilots license because in order to access the DUATS data base you will need a current pilots license number and lapsed numbers do not work because I tried.
