Yep; that footage came from this video; apparently it's a place in Austria:

Unusual visual approach very close to mountains due to several departing aircrafts from Innsbruck airport (LOWI). Landing at runway 08.

Oh ok, in that case I haven't seen it before. Thought it looked familiar but no: never been to Austria!

Anybody here who have a thing for modern Russian aircraft should check out this video. It's a nice compilation of bombers and fighters of the VVS.

Great shot of an era gone by, with a Continental DC 9-15 to boot! That's one of my favourite all-time liveries.

Well quite the contrast from my previous post. Fast-forward to present-day. QF 7 on the first-ever scheduled 380-800 commercial service from SYD to DFW:
Come tomorrow (Oct. 1) Emirates will bring its own 388 to the party when it switches from the current 777-200LR. Still, nowhere close to the multiple 388s handled daily now by LHR and LAX but cool nonetheless.

I yearn for a chance to get over to the US; hopefully it'll happen late next year, but I'd love to be able to do it sooner...

@ Turbofan: I'd like to install a HUD panel for every aircraft I own! And not just for the military ones!

I felt like making a video and had a thing going, so I didn't stop until I finished the video... only issue for me was that I felt this urge at about 3am and I didn't finish this video until about 8am. Anyway, I think this one turned out pretty decently:

A pretty awesome video of airliner movements at Perth, back in 1997. Seems like yesterday to me, oh well. And what's an Air India 310-300 doing there? That was pretty surprising to me to say the least. Also includes some classics like an SIA 313 and a Thai 300-600R.

I'm pretty sure we're all familiar of seeing pics about US or NATO aircraft intercepting Tu-95 Bears. Well, here's something a bit different. Same situation, different perspective.

That was a little close... ambient turbulence or wake turbulence effects?

Looks like ambient turbulence aided by wake. I say because the boom seems to wobble severely a few times.

@iqmal, I have that F-22 taking a drinkie on my Lumia phone.
