YSUpload Retired

Post by Eric »

YSUpload.com is being phased out due to the lack of maintenance and poor user experience, making it an unsupportable product. As such, we are no longer allowing new uploads. Please refer to the updated "How to Post an Addon" guide for how to upload your addon, making use of the forum's attachment feature.

You can also upload screenshots using this method, see the tutorial video included in the guide for how to do so.

NOTE: You will still be able to download existing addons from YSUpload, just not upload new ones.

Thank you for your cooperation.

YSUpload has ceased operations and is now retired from the YSFlight community. All download links redirect to forum posts now, migrated over from YSUpload through a tool I created. Thank you for all your support of YSUpload over these past 3 years.

Also unrelated to YSU but of note, our old Drupal site has also shut down. Content has also been migrated over into the appropriate places.

Thanks,
- Eric

Thank you for your work in saving these files! I've been downloading nearly everything I can get my mouse on, but your tool is leaps and bounds better :D

Ahh man, just when my maps pack was about to hit 1,000 downloads. Oh well, I'm glad to have had a place to upload it to. Thanks for YSUpload and your work in keeping it going all this time, guess its life span was used up.

Rest in Pieces YSU....I honestly miss the Drupal version, but use of third-party addon hosting and forum attachments is more than adequate.

I had links to specific packs on my server site, and sadly it seems that some of them go to random release topics. :?

The addons were migrated over to the forum and the file is attached to the post so you should still be able to download. Is this not the case?

The issue was the links I placed on my server's web page. A couple of the links I had for Decaff's planes (which for some reason I listed as "HERE" instead of naming the pack to which it linked < my biggest mistake) went to packs I didn't expect.

After looking through the links, I think they all go where they are supposed to go, so all is well.

Eric, I'm just now reading this.

Thank you for your work in migrating things over and "puttin' the old girl down", so to speak. It served us well.

Thank you again to everyone who ever used YSUpload. Back in the beginning, I devoted a lot of my time, money, and patience to getting it up and running, more than I think I've ever put into any project I've worked on. It's sad to see it go, but knowing that so many of you used and (for a while) enjoyed it means quite a bit to me. Unfortunately, life happens sometimes and this is really for the best.
