Here's a progress report on my conversion of youdontknowxpand's SX-1A from FSX into YSFlight.
I have yet to finish coloring and adding transparency to certain parts of the plane. Please share any ideas regarding paint schemes!

This is just my opinion, but the canopy transparency is a tad thick. Do you suppose you could make it a bit more clear? One other suggestion I have would be to change the canopy color from blue to gold, considering gold is a more natural lighting for human eyes, and it will contrast better with the green HUD.

alright, i'll try it. one problem tho, the flaperons are proving to be a nightmare to re-center. also, do you think i should have the cockpit back lit? like a sort of night vision.

Are you re-centering them in object mode or in edit mode? For the night vision, I'd make a back up first and then give it a test in YS to see if it even works properly,... it might just glare up on ya and make it even harder to see at night.

i'm re-centering in edit mode bc when i exported the MDL all the parts cg became the center of the model. i have to re-center in edit mode so i can animate the model. all the other parts are doing ok but those flaperons are always a pain. i'm thinking of increasing transparency from 160 to 200. i'll try different colors since i'm blue-red color blind (partly why i always use light blue for nv or coffins).

I don't think you can center objects in edit mode...
Also I night vision wouldn't actually work as setting the face as "bright" only makes that particular face bright, and does not illuminate anything else. A ZA of 200 should be okay too.

@Copper, the COFFIN of AC aircraft are generally blue.

yeah, you can center parts in edit mode. its not easy tho. i'm thinking of adding holographic displays in the pit too. i think increasing transparency will help round out the nv.

I Highly doubt it. That came from the depths of my brain, and materialised itself over a period of time in the form of a sketchup model :P
What did you think it was? :)

I can sort of see the resemblance, but there are a couple of key differences. The F100 is a low bypass turbofan engine, whereas my Mk.1 is a turbojet, my engine has 4 less stages in the HP compressor and 1 more in the LP, and finally, the ancillary drive output shaft to the gearbox is located in an intermediate casing on the F100, whereas mine is located just in front of the combustion chamber near the IGV's. :)
