Possible New Combat Assistance Squadron

Hey guys

Toxic here,
Ive been thinking it over for the past few days after talking with Iceman, and Ive decided that I am going to start a new squadron.
I'm still thinking about what kind of squadron I'm gonna actually make, there are soooo many awesome types to choose from

Im really excited for this

But those are just my above thoughts ^

Now what I would like to come forward to the community about is this; (and I'm open to any ideas)
Should I make an assisting combat group? (I will explain)
Over the past years of YS, there have been many Fighter squadrons. I myself, used to be in RPFW back in the olden days of YSP.

Aside from Fighter squadrons, there has also been a few supportive teams.
there was someone else, I believe Welshy, who wanted to start a Transport and Support Group (radar) <-- Thats a great idea

I understand that full fledged fighter squadrons will always talk with each other and make allies with each other for support.
(you hit me, i call my neighbor and we both hit you back)

which is why I was wondering if it would even be worth the effort to make a smaller combat support group.
bare with me here,

This squadron would have all the same essentials as a full on fighter squad, with the exception that it would be like a backup little brother.
Possibly, we would have certain people that specialize in different styles of combat such as bombers, fighters, and ground attack units, helicopters pilots.

It wouldn't even be trying to take credit for winning battles or anything like that, completely humble and just supportive (kinda sounded sappy but its the truth)

I know that I am not that great at explaining things, and I pretty much made it all sound like Im starting just another Fighter squadron
Im really sorry if not many people connect with what I'm saying

You know, the idea of seperate, smaller one-plane 4-man squads seems really awesome. If you want a small support group, I'm all for it.

I like it, instead of trying to go big at once and watching it fall apart. Keep it small and personal, I'm all for it and will join/help if the 323 doesn't start moving soon.

And monsieur Phoenix, I know I'm probably supposed to know what all these initials are, but then again, I'm still fairly new to that concept.

What would be AWACS? (lol sorry man) and recon <--- but how would it be applied and is that something that other squads have? (does it work)

It almost seems too good to be true!

Ive been working on names and numbers for the squadron, as well as a server.

Ive decided that our planes are going to be ghost colors with some special features that will definitely tell us apart.
perhaps colored or striped edge wings. The tail would most likely have some cool graphics going for it.

Anyone is welcome to join as of now Im gonna kinda go with the flow on it as far as bad members go, (it was either Bombcat or Iceman that said they will just fall away) <----gonna be patient and stick with that idea

Airborne Warning And Control System.
The idea is to help navigation of newbies, get escorts to their VAs and warn of non IFF-1 ground objects.
And helping any ATC present.

If I had to be completely honest, if I was not running (or trying to start) a squadron of my own, I would honestly go along with a smaller AWACS squad just because of how practical it would be to the game. But really, the hardest part for me to accept with running an AWACS squadron, is you really have so much more to do than running a squadron for fighters. (at least in the organization part in my head anyways) (I suck at piecing alot of things together)

and Iceman, I don't mean ^that^ in a bad way, because I know how much work you have to do, you really surprise me with your existence, because you do alot of the amazing impossibles here.

From what I understand in running AWACS, you might not have to be so much on top of training other people in your squads just because of the slower nature of recon planes, but with ATC, that is a huge project, something I have no clue about. As much as I would LOVE to see this implemented in the correct way in the future, it is something that I would need help on myself. and alot. Also, some of those duties that you've mentioned, shouldn't everyone be doing that kind of stuff? Always helping out the newbies, being nice to them, answering questions, assisting them?

And I don't mean any ounce of disrespect to you Phoenix, because your idea is great, my only thing is that I cant say that its for me.

Question out there to any mods, or people that know:
Would it be possible for me to linger on some fighter squadrons, and AWACS in order to learn a bit from both while I work on starting my own squad?
(this question is because)
1. Fighter squad is combat/ military/ guns
2. and the AWACS, although not directly a forward combat squad, is somewhat (aggressive?) (with guns and such)
3. from what I understand, these are two interfering groups which (one person) cannot be involved with at the same time

I don't mean any disrespect here at all guys (man i sound defensive huh? ) lol

I'm just kind of panning things out at the river and looking at all the possibilities: Planning is important to me.

I'm looking at all my options here and really seeing how things could sour, or how they could be amazing.
I'm not screwing anyone's ideas, I'm listening, I promise

INstead of AWACS just make a spy squadron filled with pilots who know how to make escapes at high speed lying low to the ground without difficulty.they could give you an edge in a battle just one of your squadron members would take the scenic route during a fight and tell positions by chatting or telling the bases captured or not

Gotta try new things, normal squad set up doesn't really work anymore. Also, you have to have fun with it, if you don't then what's the point?
