I cant tell you how many times I have flown into an airport with heavy equipment working away on a shutdown R/W for repairs and upgrades. If you look around at busy airports you will find work in progress somewhere at any givin time.

Good Idea Gunny, a good bulldozer would go along great with one of these
shovels. The SeaBee's are always getting attacked while they are on the job.
The shovel would make a great shield bearer for the dozer operator to have
the option of using a big gun.

Well looks like it didn't get on the top addons list. To be honest, it looks like repainting aircraft is much more valued than scratch building them.

That Grob "Tutor T1" looks wonderful. I appreciate having more of the small
civil crafts available. Is it ready to be released yet? I don't recall having
seen it in the New Releases thread, did I miss it?

Lockheed U2 Spyplane

So after a lot of consideration I have decided to stop producing Simple Airliners. Instead I plan on returning to the style of modding I used to create, for example the Sunderland. So to start off my Welsh Hangar thread I bring to you the U2 Spyplane which I am currently building. I will be creating the U2S/R version as well as the TU-2S :)

Wow that looks quite nice! Don't forget to clean up the shadows on the wings using the edge-split modifier!

Have you thought about how you will do the wing-tip landing gear for take off but not have them for landing?

Thanks Decaff. My plan is to animate the wing tip pogo's so they drop away quickly when you press the bomb bay door key. :)

I've made some more progress today with the general colour scheme and a few panel lines/general fixtures. Here's what I've done so far.

We should have an addon to the forum so that thread authors can moderate their own threads. I'd love to delete some terrible posts on some of my threads.

I want you to make one painted like the USAF Thunderbirds, and another in a Pan-Am livery. Can you do it by yesterday? Also three others I want by next hour. Thanks for your consanderution. Also, can you teach me how to make toast?

Here's some more progress I made today on the U2-S. The pogo's are now animated to drop back behind the aircraft and disappear on the bomb bay door command. I've also added the main panel lines to the aircraft. Soon I'll be creating the cockpit and fine tuning the flight performance. :)
