For you guys I have updated the map to version 1.3 (Download link above). From my investigation I found that I haven't carried the fuel trucks and VOR's over to the snow version. Have fun flying tonight guys.
This is the last update you'll see from me guys. After yesterday's events I am finished with modding publicly.

Dan my friend I would respectfully request that you would reconsider your decision to discontinue your modding for us.We really can not afford to loose such talented people and all of us know that as a fact. But as usual if you feel the need to actually pull you talents from the site I do wish you all the best.

Thanks Gunny, I really appreciate your kind words. Unfortunatley for me these events are far too common and always include me. Unless I get some form of an apology or a standing down from those in question i technically have no worth here.
At the end of the day this is a game. I would like to enjoy it without being dragged into arguments and wrongfull decisions by staff members.

Gunny I've reconsidered. I'll still continue to mod and release here. I figured that I should just carry on as normal and not let this horrible situation get to my head. Since my laptop is running out of steam though I might soon be limited to just aircraft modding unless there is some form of fix for the latest scenery editor.

Well, it's a really good map right now, and I have no doubt that when you get it finished it will be one of the truly great maps in YSF. I'm looking forward to the next update.

i have noticed the the range of the VOR transmitters are far too short for the existing airports. i have gotten lost several times when starting from the "From Paris" and "From New York" start points, and when flying from London to Edinburgh. which kind of discourages me from doing much flying on this map.
but i am looking forward to future updates. this map will be great when finshed.

@Dragon_Mech you can edit the VORs for longer ranges using this line in the.dat VORRANGE 100km.But it will only work for off line play.On line will use the servers original map settings.
Edit: Also you can preplan your flights with the Ys nav planner.I know there in no built in print utility for it but you can do screenshots for the map and the flight plan and then print them for referance or if you have the ability direct screen print

I added long-range VOR units for Belfast, Aberdeen, and London, for use on my server.

Actually, I've found that so far, if someone is running OYS, then the original map and aircraft/ground object settings are kept. For even the clients. Used to be the server would override my CYAWMANE setting of 2.0 with 5.0. This doesn't happen with Pat's server and for the aircraft that I have that setting for, they turn on the ground at the rate I have specified.

Nice map.
Can anyone give me a list of all the non-start position airfields. And if you can land at them or not.
It will be useful to know. Not just for me, but for all those that have this map.
Fliped out of the arena, again!
