Pretty neat tune from Chris Geith if you like instrumental jazz. I've gotten into progressive jazz the past few years after trying to scout old tunes that used to be played on the "Local on the 8s" on The Weather Channel. This is one of them:

Most over-used phrase of 2020: "New normal". Can we stop with that already? Pandemics do not last forever, and things will eventually go back to normal.

This guitar solo will change your life.

The guitarist is Guthrie Govan, and many people in the prog metal world are hailing him as the best guitarist in the world right now. I agree. I've never heard anyone build bends so tall or tremelos so naturally. He uses double notes where is needed, it's just... so intense!

---

And another one!

The lyrics and melody are so powerful in the chorus!

Quite possibly the best rendition of Bach's Toccata and Fugue I've heard. The name Conrad Kleiger I have seen a few times but some seem to think it is actually Hannes Kastner. Now I don't know if they're two different artists but they both sound pretty much the same (maybe Conrad Kleiger is the stage name?).

You're quite welcome Gunny! This music is certainly the mastery of J.S. Bach. Now as far as whether this is also known as the "betrayal piece", that's quite interesting. I have not heard of it as that, although I can certainly see why it might be given that name, it does have that "tone" so to speak. I have heard it get lots of play around Halloween however. :)

My Great Grand Mother who was from Portugal always use to refer to it as the betrayal piece. As in Jesus's betrayal by Judas in Gethsemane. She was a vary devout Roman Catholic.I was just wondering if this was just her perception of it or if others have referred to it as that.I do not have a classical upbringing so some things have escaped me in those areas.

I just recently discovered that Rockstar has official playlists for GTA games on Spotify, so I made an account. I'm currently on The Dust and playing GTA:O.

Now I'm listening to Chris Stapleton singing an old Vern Gosdin song.

One of the lesser-known songs by Led Zeppelin. Pretty good vocal composition by a band otherwise known for the heavy stuff (which I like too) :).

A great tune to listen to when you're making maps in the Scenery Editor:

Joyce Cooling - Callie

She is also one of my favourite jazz artists. Other great tunes by her include "Savannah" and "South of Market".
