Crazy runways.

Post by plunderbird »

Just found a list of 16 'crazy runways'. I know some are in YSF, but not all of them. The one on collums looks like it could be interesting to land on. WTF? with #1.. it has a railway running across it. I know 'the rock' has a road, but a railway??!! :o

Really crazy. Don Mueang airport surprised me as it has golf course near the runway :D
The A380 is ahead of its time. With the resilient passenger traffic growth for times to come (reference from Airbus's Global Market Forecast), plus congested airports, the A380 could not be ignored.

I know that four of them are in YSF. Gibraltar, St Maarten, St Bartelemy and either Courchevel or Tenzig - Hillary.

Anyone want to add some of the others? Madeira, Gisborne, and Wellington could be good.

Hey, where did you find that in YSflight?

Sorry can't remember. Fairly certain, that Courchevel is here in YSF though. Might be in the 'The alps' scenery, as there is a post saying the YS extreme airports list goes to four. And that's the same amount as my list.

There's a nifty Saba Island floating around. Also, I've heard of a KIX but haven't found it

#1 is Gisborne Airport in the east North Island. To think I live in NZ and all that time I never knew...

Wellington International (#14) is always at least slightly bumpy on the approach, even at best.
Currently dormant... playing IL2 Cliffs of Dover
