Lufthansa LH764 landed in Mumbai "about 30 minutes after the pilot declared an emergency due to a landing gear issue."
On landing, four wheels supposedly "blew out, with at least one wheel dissolving."
I think the aircraft is an A340.

It was an A330 .......Airport was shut down for 12+ hours, many other flights were cancelled

Some photos I took while I made my yearly trip to Airfest this past march over at MacDill AFB. The storms soaked up all but the T-Birds who were able to fly at 4pm instead of their scheduled 3pm flight time.

There are a bit of em' so enjoy!



F-22 Raptor from Tyndall AFB, FL. As you can see it was a VERY wet show.




The F-22A Raptor and F-35A JSF on display. Later during the day when it poured, they pulled the JSF back into the hanger.

On the Heavies side of the flightline there was the Giant C-5M Super Galaxy

Randy Ball and his MiG-17F Had a fantastic demo even after the rainy weather!




Even the A-10C Thunderbolt II was here!




Unfortunately on both days the Thunderbirds flew a 5 ship high show. The reason was that Thunderbird #5 suffered a minor injury and was grounded for safety reasons. nevertheless they 5 put on an amazing show!

That's lucky. The crash looks terrible , but both pilots survived.

Disheartening to hear a hull loss .........But great to hear that Pilots are safe .............

I hope this mechanical failure is isolated and never happens again

2 different Russian TVC nozzles

on MiG-29OVT and (will be) MiG-35,the TVC moving expand and contract while Sukhoi Flankers (Su-30MKI/M/A/SM,-35,37) TVC's were moving from one pivot to another and rotate
