Aircraft you have flown in as a passenger

Post by Turbofan »

After doing an extensive search and looking through all 14 pages of this forum, I did not find anything similar so I thought it would be fun to list what aircraft and by which airline you have flown in as a passenger. a320/a321 Vietnam airlines
a320 SAS
b777-200er vietnam airlines
b777-300er Thai airways
b787 Thai Airways/Qatar
a330-200 vietnam airlines/Qatar
a330-300 Thai Airways
a380-800 Qatar

Upcoming: b777-300er/a380-800 Emirates :)
The A380 is ahead of its time. With the resilient passenger traffic growth for times to come (reference from Airbus's Global Market Forecast), plus congested airports, the A380 could not be ignored.

I've been on a few. Most I don't remember of course so I'll just take a guess.

C172L/S/SP/N
T-34
DA-42L
Extra 330L
Extra 330LC

UH-60

CL-600/CRJ-200
CRJ-700
ERJ-175
MD-80/82/88
MD-90
717
737-600/700/800
757-200W
A320
A330
DC-10/MD-11 (not sure, NWA circa 1998)

As for Airlines which may have been on more than one of the above:
AirTran
American Airlines
Delta Airlines
Northwest Airlines
Southwest Airlines
US Airways

I've been trying to get some variety in the domestic stuff lately, but there's only so much variety to choose from so this is it for now. I'm pretty sure this list is gonna get longer next week but I still think that's a lot right there. Man I love aviation!

It's been fun reading your lists, quite some variety there.
VNAF ONE wrote:DC-10/MD-11 (not sure, NWA circa 1998)
This was most definitely a DC-10 (either the 30 or the 40) since NW did not operate the MD-11. I really wanted to fly in the DC 10 at least once. Oh well

Aditya: I flew AI seevral times back in the late 80s/early 90s when I was a kid, and while the service wasn't too bad then, the on-time performance sucked. These days, from what I gather the service sucks also. It is called the "National Shame" for a reason. :D It seems like it does a decent job of runing the EWR-BOM flights and flights between North America and DEL, so that's probably why people here who fly AI get a better experience than within India or other int'l flights do.

I found Indian Airlines' service to be about average, flew it once from BOM to the old BLR. And had a reactionary F/A who told me to stop taking photos (perfectly legal to do so since 2007 in India) when the aircraft was on short final. Kind of ruined the experience.

My school bus driver in high school used to go over this one hill way too fast, and we would be off the ground for a second and then come crashing down on the other side every day. Does that count?

For a second the vehicle was airborne and you were technically a passenger. Sure, why not!

The 388 will be around for quite a while... I'm sure I will get an opportunity at some point. Though the 757 and 717 are high on my priority list at the moment.
