Re: FAQ Scenery Editor
1) taxiway lines
2) Runway end markers
Approach lights always blink from outside towards the runway, this is used for aircrafts in approach to a runway....
There are lights that are static, like:
1) dullish white for threshold markers,
2) bright white for center line
3) blue lights used on the edges of tarmac, taxiways
Instruments that are generally used at an airport include
1) PAPI, available as a ground object, help pilots in lining up and gliding down an aircraft
2) NDB, non vector airport locator
3) VOR and other derivatives like VOR-DME, these are instruments That Give vectors and distance from an airport
4) there is the radars and dopplers, that track aircrafts and weather activity (respectively)
Most airports indicate and inform what instruments they have.......what kind of lighting systems they have.... what kind of aircrafts they can handle... Etc
These airport specific information, for almost every airport, can be availed online.
More to follow

Re: FAQ Scenery Editor
Also googling images of airports at night will give you a rough idea of the lighting layout.
And of course regualtions vary from country to country. So airports in brazil might use diffrent systems than what the US uses.

Re: FAQ Scenery Editor
Do you mean the VOR? (VHF omnidirectional range) VOR's are still pretty common around the world, even though GPS is taking over. NDB's are pretty few and far between these days.AdityaB wrote:. . . and i guess the Tracker.....i never used it though.... i believe you are talking about these instruments?

But I dont know how "TRACKER" can be used for military operation: tracker is only like viewpoint camera that follow specified objects and there are no any additional function.
