YSFS@2CH 187 SERVER

OWNED BY : mamefuji187

The current map at the time of this post is the stock West Japan Map.

The Rules are as follows:
The following sentences are common rules.
But some server has special rules, you must obey that then.

Contents:
•Don't be a douche. You'll end up being called a "Arashi" if you do by JP players.

•Don't attack GND objects, unless the server is set up for combat.

•Don't Vulch aircraft (Destroy Aircraft that are taking off or landing.)

•Don't attack if you don't intend to fight.

•Don't use Flaps, Landing Gear, Trim and/or AAMs (Shortrange engagement) in a dogfight.

•You should usually choose IFF1 , but choose the other IFFs if you fight.

•Avoid dogfighting near airports as to prevent collateral.

[How to call and response to check fight or non-fight intention]
If you wish to engage in a dogfight -
•Use chat
•Fire warning shots

If you do not want to engage in a dogfight -
•Use chat
•Use Flare a serious of three times in flying

If the above is done, disengage immediately.
If you (if the victim) or the other player (if the attacker) engages defensive (begins evading) proceed to dogfight.

Remember - We share this server with not just the The Japanese Community, but YSFS users all over the world. So please, follow the rules so everyone can enjoy the server.

----------ADDONS-------------

Due to the vast list of addons used, it is suggested you get links to them from the source itself. They can be found in the last section of the page.

Although not endorsed or asked of by the Administrator or their Liasion, ika_ysfs, the Grun TFS has taken upon itself the duty of assisting in the prosecution of Rulebreakers on this server. Let this be a warning to those who violate the rules of this server - To paraphrase the United States Social Security Agency's stance on Fraud - We will find you. We will attack you. We will seek maximum punishment as justified by your acts.
And before you complain about this addendum post - Lemme at least have a little fun with my position :D

In 2ch server, if we found rulebreaker, we need to follow following sequences.
* don't attack(if attack, it means your on rulebreakers field)
* notice on chat(usually gone well)
* if not follow notice, report server admin(the way of report to mamefuji is twitter.).

Really?

Well, time for a little cultural exchange - Here in the english community, we're used to these kinds of people - Arashi - as you put it.

When we encounter rule breakers, a "free fire " is usually universally called against them on the server - to teach them a lesson by having everyone turn on them at once. A perfect example is the Grabacr Incident.

In the early 2010s, A group calling themselves the 8492nd Squadron (Yes, much like the Ace Combat 5 squadron) attacked civilians and others on EricT15 (iirc, now Eric, the owner and server admin of YSFHQ)'s server - resulting in the CVW-171st and other persons attacking them en masse. This led to them pretty much being banned (the grabacr) by Eric.

Now - I understand that there is a way that these things are done on the 2ch server, and I don't mind complying with it. It's just that here in the states and English speaking community - we're usually very proactive when it comes to dealing with rulebreakers.

See, the thing with saying this is that it makes it sound like a challenge. I'd be tempted to fly around on a different name and challenge grun peeps just to make a sport of it.

May I ask why flaps, trim, landing gear and AAMs are prohibited in dogfights?

Flaps and trim are very unbalanced and are generally considered cheating.
AAMs are (i assume for short range gunfights) prohibited due to being able to get a easy kill with a short window to deploy flares to counter.

Flaps have been frowned upon by the Japanese community for a while, I dunno why but people became mad if you used them in WW3 server. Flaps are encouraged in the English community though. Trim is considered cheating in both communities. Short range AAM I used to love to use in a dogfight, time it right and your opponent has no chance at all. That being said, you can avoid the AAM without flares if you know what you're doing. Mid range are my favourite though, keep chasing the enemy and ignore flares as long as you keep radar lock... It's great.
