[SCENERY] Macmurdo Station

[mod=Macmurdo Station][previmg]http://dc377.4shared.com/img/wX6_SUgH/0 ... 9_21_5.png[/previmg]
[moddesc=http://www.4shared.com/file/p50hCTin/Ma ... ation.html]Macmurdo Station.zip]
A vary simple Macmurdo Station scenery with no ground objects but one a VOR_DME to get you to the station from out at sea.
As with the real station there are no ILSs no lights no hangers or terminals.
Just snow and ice fields carved into the ice pack.
There are 3 fields that you will have to find by sight and VFR into.
Pegesus Station,Willy field and Ice fields 1 and 2 at the base of Macmurdo.
That will be tough because there is little differentiation in the pack colors
so keep a sharp eye.Damn I forgot to put in the THING. :D
have fun.[/moddesc]
[instmod]Add .fld file and .stp file in main scenery folder.
Copy and paste .lst file into main scenery.lst.[/instmod][/mod]

LOL Gunny, that is some quick work. It's actually quite evocative of what flying over Antarctica might feel like.

When I arrived over the VOR, I started looking around and was thinking "where the @#$% is the airstrip?" :lol: It's white everywhere. I circled around a bit to find an airstrip, ended up landing at Willy Field 12 miles to the east of the VOR.

The real McMurdo (note correct spelling) Station is big enough to support a population of over 1000, so a few buildings near where the VOR is would be nice.

Keep at it, I'd like to see your interpretation of McMurdo.

I agree keep working wasp I would like to see it as well.Mine was just down and dirty as we used to say in map making.
And TF you said simple well its simple alright. :lol:
I will see about adding some Quonset and a chopper field as it does have one at Mcmurdo proper.
P.S. I have no idea how I misspelled Mcmurdo it was plastered all over my screen. :lol:
