I'm now an Engineer!

Post by decaff_42 » Sun May 18, 2014 12:44 am

Well, After 4 years of hard work, I've finally got a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Had a lot of fun and also some frustrating times, but it was worth it. I had a 3.54 GPA and graduated with distinction.

I also want to extend congratulations to all of our students here at YSFHQ for either finishing their school year (except you Australia...you guys do education upside down...) or closing in on the final months of the current academic year. :D

Major congrats! Didn't know that's the one you were working on. Got a lot of buddies studying that and it's definitely a tough route!

Good on you champ!

Who are you looking on working with?
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

This is going to be you Decaff. Well done though! Im hoping to go to university for aeronautical engineering.
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

My two cents:
Most over-used phrase of 2020: "New normal". Can we stop with that already? Pandemics do not last forever, and things will eventually go back to normal.

Many thanks to all of you. I don't have any immediate plans, but I'm looking into internships and full-time employment right now. I want to either go into smaller UAVs since that is a market that is going to explode, or civilian aircraft wing design.

I have been accepted to a 5 year BS/MS program, so my backup plan next year is to get a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in fluids.

By no means am I leaving this wonderful community. I still have lots of aircraft ideas and plans, and lots of video and tutorial work to do! :D
