Other than its sitting on top of a reclaimed strip coal mine.

It's hard to tell from the up-top-view, but looking at the airfield via a Google map it appears it sits on top of a plateau.

That would be the reclaimed open pit coal mine.But thats not it either.Keep in mind this is supposed to be an active airport.

Well, I only see what may be a small hangar and what could be some kind of tower, but not a single aircraft.

Vary close Pat.There is not one single structure on this airport not a one and it was built in 2007 in Mingo county W.V.. The perfect covert airfield.Ok Kujo you can que the X-files theme now all 10 hours of it

I heard a conspiracy theorist once who claimed there is an underground base where the corn field opens up and reveals a runway with an elevator down into the below-ground hangar. Perhaps what I thought was a hangar is actually the elevator. The government is never anywhere as good at hiding its secret bases as the conspiracy theorists will tell you.
