Camo Cuts in Blender

Could anybody help me create camo cuts in Blender? I was told to select a face, press K and make your design, but im stuck from there on how to get the design I just cut out to stay

From what you told and showed me, you are doing it wrong.

You are supposed to cut through from one side of the face to another, NOT stop halfway and turn around. That way, your cuts will be saved.

I don't have my computer with me right now, maybe someone else could do a more detailed explanation with pictures.

cuts do not cut faces, they cut edges.

You will need to add these extra vertices and thus edges manually. (at least that is my understanding)

LIke flake and others said, Don't stop in the middle of a face when cutting. For camo inspiration, there is nothing better than pictures of real planes. Look at several styles and try to copy that. Stick with imitating first and then when you get more comfortable with it, then you can start branching out like Tigershark does and come up with your own paint schemes.

The problem is that im super confused on how to do it , when you cant stop halfway in the middle then how do you get the design you want? Could somebody possibly make a little written tutorial with pictures? please?

What you are telling me:


This will NOT work.
Instead, make one cut from one side of the face to another(NO turnarounds).



Then, make another cut (again NO turnarounds).


Voila!
