To put it simply, it allows you to utilize your mouse as a way to look around in your cockpit, instead of using the normal look left/right/up/down keys that only grants you a limited range of movement. Kuro has used it in quite a few of his videos.

ok...but when i move the mouse to move the camera wont it also move the joystick? cuz i fly with keyboard!

Doesn't YS already allow you to do that?
