Ok everyone. So as you know, Quality Control is MANDATORY for all participants. The AirFest team has worked out a way to be convenient to everyone. We will be having two Quality Contol sessions, each for the Eastern or Western Hemisphere.

I will be holding one and OfficerFlake will be holding the other one. Standy for a post from Flake regarding his QC session.

I will be having my QC session next Sunday, July 7th. I should be on teamspeak between 10AM to 10PM. This should be plenty of time to hop on, show me your stuff, and then you can do whatever you please. If you know what time you will be on, feel free to let me know so that I can be ready for you.

I will likely be practicing narration to go along with everyone's demo but this QC will be like last year, fun and entertaining and much like a "pre-show".

That is 1000 to 2200 EST. Sorry about that. DD I suggest you wait until Flake posts his QC time because you will be more likely to have you and your team show up to that one. That basically goes for everyone east of Europe. I mean you're welcome to come to mine, but it may be more convenient to go to Flake's. He is part of the AirFest team so he will be watching your performances and giving you tips (if needed) and such.

I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

... Then you go to VNAF's QC session which will be GMT evening/afternoon. Gosh! :|

My session applies to the far east only. (and UK if they wish to get up that early, I do advise you attend the other session.)

IF for some magic you can't make the US QC Session:

I'll host the server for well over 2 hours (Closer to 6!), and if you can't get your arse up by mid day, well I really couldn't care less.

Bear in mind I will be up at 0400 AEST to host the audio for the show, and have done on numerous occasion just to attend YS Airshows. I am not readily going to put up with "i'm not going to get up early". Go to the other session, or don't make the show. You have ample opportunity to make a QC session, and quite frankly, it hits a raw nerve being told that you can't get up at a modestly reasonable time when I bend over backwards to make these things happen. Thanks for understanding. :|

Oh, and I of course recognise that this wasn't your intent to annoy me, so no hard feelings. I just want to state my opinion on the matter.

It was, because you get angry very easily. Or pissed. And VNAF, I'd appreciate if you could put those times in GMT.

VNAF AirFest staff have already started with preparations for the great event of the summer at Vuelo Beach! Two weeks left for the AirFest 13!
Organizers are already in the island and as you can see the beach looks amazing this morning!

Flake is right guys, we are doing our best to give everyone an ample opportunity to participate in the event and we only want the best for everyone but we can only take that so far. All we ask of everyone is that you simply sign up and comply with our regulations. We are learning at a fast pace since this is only the second AirFest ever and personally only my second time running a show and a team with that. At least it's a bit better than last year when most people had to get up on my time just to be at the QC.

Also, the times for my QC will be 1400 - 2400 GMT so if you don't go to Flake's, you'll have to find some time within this 12 HOURS to come to the QC. If that doesn't work for you, please PM me regarding your availability prior to these dates and we can work something out. I'm trying to be flexible.

Please remember that if your requested activity does not meet AirFest expectations or guidelines, that such activity may be denied to participate in quality events. However do not be discouraged to participate as AirFest expectations allow up to only the extreme to be denied and is only intended to eliminate undesirable outcomes."

Basically, it's a rehearsal as well as a time for us to make sure we don't have 50+G Thunderbirds, BUBBA flying, or people performing in a random location or any such things that could happen that would reduce the quality of the show in a whole. This doesn't mean we aren't letting people get crazy, but we're trying to make sure we don't have things that are just not entertaining or unnecessary. This way the show will go a lot smoother and we can minimize issues.

Airbourne is doing an F-22 demo in this exact aircraft. Take a look at the list of participants.

Oh hi flyboy, welcome back, by the way.

Will there be an updated map? Not a fan of not having a viewpoint in the center of the beach or having remote start positions. ;)
