[REQUEST]Cinderblock Flighter
In the PMNV pack, there is a cinder block plane which is normal until you turn on the afterburners. These afterburners launch you to more than 2000 knots. I liked it a lot until I noticed that there are no weapons on the plane.
Therefore, I propose a fighter version of it. I would like to have a gun with 5000 rounds of ammunition and 6 hard points (3 on each side). And just maybe increase the top speed to 4000 knots just for laughs. I bet no one is going to do this but if someone does, you will be one of my favorite modders.

Re: [REQUEST]Cinderblock Flighter

I'll use the stock F-16 .dat since that is the standard for this sort of thing. Or am I living in 2008 when I say that?

Re: [REQUEST]Cinderblock Flighter
This is actually really easy to do. Go into your YSFlight folder and look under Aircraft for a fighter aircraft's DAT file. Say F-15.DatRandom_Flyer66 wrote:Therefore, I propose a fighter version of it. I would like to have a gun with 5000 rounds of ammunition and 6 hard points (3 on each side). Then copy relevant lines into your cinderblock plane .DAT file.
You will always be left disappointed if you always request other people to do work for you.
Editing a DAT is easy, just open it up in notepad and it's a legible text file.
This is one of the first mods you should do. Why not, just for shits and giggles, right now, change the afterburner power of the stock f-14 (Aircraft/F-14.DAT) to be double the power.
The weapons addition you intend for the brick plane could be done in 2 minutes.
You should really start learning to Mod, it's quite rewarding.

Re: [REQUEST]Cinderblock Flighter
FYI I never run YSFLIGHT in the default program files folder for that very reason.

EDIT: But to be clear, I now plan to make and release an official Fighter adaptation of this based on the F-16 .dat and may make various masonry-related weapons. And an all-seeing eye logo just to confirm Illuminati connections.

GUNINTVL 0.01
GUNPOWER 4
INITGUN 5000
to the .dat and saved it, and it worked! (for the gun part)
Also, I made mine stealth by making the radar cross-section 0 (I think it works)

Still planned: A carpenter's level for air-to-air missiles. Possibly a bag of cement for a fuel tank.

Re: [REQUEST]Cinderblock Flighter
I used a 1-yard level for AIM9s and a 1-meter level for AIM120s. Rockets are masonry hammers.
