These rules are general in nature and are enforced for the benefit of those that fly the 42S skies. If you believe that a simple retaliation in the form of shooting an offender down or a short free fire session is required then please go ahead and issue the order. Excessive or abusive use of free fire will result in a warning.

Administration

Team
The admin team that help run the server, all pilots are asked to respect their decisions.

Midnight Rambler - The owner of the server, has ultimate authority of the server. Can ban, kick, kill etc... through the server console.
Vacant - Nominated administrator. Has access to the 42South Admin Plane and can access the server console.

Rules

No Vulching

Vulching is defined as attacking/destroying an aircraft on the ground. If an aircraft is on the ground or has its gear down for landing, YOU MAY NOT ATTACK IT!

Dogfighting

All are welcome to dogfight. However, if you wish to dogfight make sure you have the other pilots permission. If you don't have permission, then don't attack. If continue to attack then it is classed as Vulching.

Civilian shooting

Attacking an unarmed aircraft, without permission, is grounds for a ban. The exception is that the civilian aircraft may be participating in an online exercise, if this is the case then all pilots online must agree to whatever rules are set.

The 42South Server code of disengagementThe recognised code of disengagement is the release of three (3) flares fired in close consession. This code marks you as someone who doesn't want to attack or you want an threatening pilot to disengage. If an offender continues to attack then order a free fire. This rule does not apply to those in a dogfight or a pilot that has had a free fire ordered on.

YSC ENABLED SERVER Currently deactivated

The 42S server is running the YSC system. YSChat collects flight data and send it to the YS Server Database. Here your flight hours are collected and a signature can be generated from your online username. This is mine:

42South Lite - Currently deactivated

This is a slimmed version of YS, running only the stock aircraft on stock maps - login times are very small and it brings YS back to its roots.

42South will attempt to accommodate all requests. When requesting an addon, you acknowledge that some requests may be denied to maintain server quality and quick logon speeds.

THE HIT LIST

Often when a pilot breaks a rule bad enough, administrators of the server will order a free fire. The hit list is for those that have been reported to a server admin or posted in this thread. Anyone noted on the list has no rights on the 42South server. All people using the server are encouraged to attack without mercy in anyway and as many times as they wish.

Most VA's fly Hawaii because its a pretty sweet map for long flights. Server now running North Kyusyu.

The server will be making a comeback, I'm planning on reinstalling windows to make the server computer quicker.

Hopefully shortly into the new year 42South will be back and running civilian flight.

Just FYI, YS version should be vers. #, like 20110207, etc. Fixed your post. It needed server website and server pic (just made it the URL to this thread).
