New Civilian Section Administrator

Post by Turbofan » Thu Sep 15, 2011 1:38 pm

There's a topic on this in the News and Announcements section but I didn't want to take anything away from Midnight Rambler's appointment to his new post, so thus this topic here, but I'll keep this short.

You may have noticed a rather sharp drop-off in my "attendance" so to speak compared to what it was, and with good reason-I have gone back to school for further education. As much I don't want to I'll have to step down as the Civilian Section Admin, my real-life workload is steadily increasing and it's expected to get much heavier (Computer Programming is like that  ). I have been in contact with Iceman on this as well, and he's been working on getting a new Civ Section Head, which you likely know by now is Midnight Rambler. So long story short, congratulations to Midnight, he's a great choice for the job. He's already contacted me and has some great ideas, which I look forward to seeing.

I will still be around however, after all, programmers need study breaks too! But the frequency of visits and flying will be much less is all.
Hi! I make average, undesirable, boring grey maps for YS Flight!

My two cents:
Most over-used phrase of 2020: "New normal". Can we stop with that already? Pandemics do not last forever, and things will eventually go back to normal.

Cheers TFan, I'm hoping I can make more people interested and build up the civilian portion of YSF. Expect to see some changes soon :)
