Re: Boeing 727
Welnio and I released the first Extra 300 for YS years ago and had no idea it'd be so popular.
Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the topic. I'll try to keep this about the 727. Anyone willing to help me with it?

Re: Boeing 727
Animations? (hides in corner and weeps) I could try but My success thus far as been so abysmal it's not really worth talking about.
That being said I'd give them a shot. If for nothing else than to try and learn how. In my mods, I've been getting a better understanding of the empties and such, but I still have much to learn.
I also just lost a lot of my free time to schoolwork, so if there is someone else who can animate, go ahead and take that part of the project.

Re: Boeing 727
Turns out I was doing that work for naught; the 721 has the oval inlet, but the 722 has it rounded. I didn't know that before, so had to undo all the inlet work I'd previously repaired, lol.
Google "727-200 #2 intake" for great results.
Edit: I didn't read your warning post very carefully, Turbofan. You advised me about the 721, and I wrongly understood you to be warning me about the whole 727 line. I was "fixing" my 722 to have the oval inlet before you warned me and I was wrong to anyway, lol.
I r tard

Re: Boeing 727

You're right, the -200's #2 engine inlet has a regular circle. I assumed you're also doing the -100 variant, that's on me, apologies.

Re: Boeing 727
You can always apply the Poly Reducer modifier, that one is pretty useful. And Skyline, that same goes to you. Except the program you work with makes better renders than Blender, I think that is still high poly.decaff_42 wrote:I just found this:

You can import it directly into blender, but it's way to big for YSF. There are no animations, and upwards of 30000 vertices after duplicates are removed.

Now 100% more decomissioned!

Re: Boeing 727
As far as I'm concerned, my model is ready to submit for someone to add for YS. I'm not too interested in doing more to it.
Thank goodness I don't paint. LOL

Re: Boeing 727
With my access to the Modeller dropbox, I may just upload it here, but I guess I'm just not 100% comfy with everyone on the team having access to all my stuff.
I prefer to work one-on-one.
