I don't know much about your acrobatics skill level, but restarting the BAs is an incredible goal to have starting out of the gate. Anything is possible with enough determination and practice. In reality, there isn't anything stopping you except your experience, but that can be a bit of a challenge.
Generally we recommend that you get involved with the community, and build your skills before taking on such a mighty challenge. Recently the YS Thunderbirds tried to get going, but practicing all together as a whole was a challenge due to timezones. If your buddies are all geographically close to you, timing won't be that big of an issue.
(Just trying to throw out some stumbling points that ppl have hit before)
Anyway, welcome to the forum. I hope you can get your buddies to join us here as well. It would be awesome to see the BAs flying once again.

(Newer folks might not get that.)

Don't double post, don't type in all caps, don't upload addons made by other people, don't request anything for a few weeks, don't release modifications to other people's addons without citing your sources, and when on a server stop shooting anything that drops three flairs and don't shoot anything on the ground or anything that isn't carrying weapons.
These are rules that all new members should know but won't know until they break one of them.
