Here is an idea for create racing car model, that will be included in stock collection in next YSFlight ver.2016xxxx release.
LIMITATIONS:
- not use existing YSFHQ cars
- can use parts from stock models
- based on public domain 3D mesh (or licensed as CC0), without any credits issues
- lowpoly without transparency
- created as aircraft without vertical up speed
- wheels must be rotated using CLA 22, use CLA 23 for steering or/and CLA 8 (can be taken from stock JEEP)
- ...
[/b]
__
Base 3D meshes (license CC0):
http://opengameart.org/content/racing-assets-v1

__
Or make proposition for other base 3D mesh!

Sounds like a good idea, get people racing from the start, but for some reason I just feel that racing should be kept almost separated from the base game.
Oh and its spelt 'release'. Great English otherwise though.

Is this a shoutout from Soji or something?
As a shout out to YSF's origins, I say the car must be Japanese.
I nominate the
Skyline R-34 and failing that, the
Mazda RX-7.
I'm sure one of our modders would LOVE the opportunity to model for the stock pack FOC.

I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

So, give a link for public domain 3D mesh or 3D view! At the moment I cant find it using google, thats why give an example from OpenGameArt.
If somebody find good 3D mesh with required limitations, please, post link for it here.

P.S.: Why only Japanese racing car? Is P-51 or Concorde Japanese aircraft?

Well, given Soji's Japanese origins, it would be better if there was a car that fit this. Besides, the YS-11 (the final passenger aircraft developed by Japan after WW2 before the more recent Mitsubishi Regional Jet) is included as part of the stock aircraft, and the default map used is Aomori (somewhere in Japan, FYI), so why not?

But we need own 3D mesh for it.

If only Skyline were still here, he would love a chance to race an R-34 in YS. and R-32 even more.
I am, however, extremely partial to the Wankel.

VFA-49 FORUM
"Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my leg... and my arm... even my fingers. The body I've lost... the comrades I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you? I'm gonna make them give back our past"

I'd like to point out that
Zak (Tigershark) has an R33 already released. I wonder if he still plans to do the R34 and R35.

Lets say it will be "Nissan Skyline GT-R 34"
So we need:
- DNM with lowpoly visual model for it and smaller than100KB
- DAT for this car in aircraft style
[/b]
REM NISSAN SKYLINE GT-R 34
IDENTIFY "RACING_CAR"
CATEGORY NORMAL
AFTERBURNER FALSE
...
So, who can make good .DAT and who can create .DNM for R34?
As recommendation for start creation see first post where attached basic 3D models.

Dragon_Mech can handle that. He did some .dat work in the Grun Squadron pack.
