Decaff's 707 problem

Post by lorDuckFeet » Fri Aug 12, 2016 10:52 am

Hello all.
(Addon name: Civilian 707 Pack)
This accident happened to me again.
The first time was in the 187 server with the Varig 707.
For the new brand of Ysbra, The Tail Rainbow Airways YSF VA, I used the Boeing 707 Cargo with the .dat file from Varig.
I was a little feet to and unexpected this happens:

i believe when your tail is near to the ground it flip somehow. i do not know why it like that unless the model is done upside down or ysflight program problems.

Check your LEFTGEAR and RIGHGEAR variables. Flipping aircraft usually have the issue of having both variables having exactly the same values, so that both the left gear and right gear are at the exact same positions. Generally while taxiing and takeoff this somehow does not pose an issue, but it may begin to manifest as in this case or when taxiing from a taxiway to a runway.

EDIT: after downloading the pack, I checked all the dat files and this is indeed the case for all four paint schemes included.

Code: Select all

LEFTGEAR 2.307m -3.227m -2.699m #LEFT LANDING GEAR POSITION
RIGHGEAR 2.307m -3.227m -2.699m #RIGHT LANDING GEAR POSITION
What it should be:

Code: Select all

LEFTGEAR -2.307m -3.227m -2.699m #LEFT LANDING GEAR POSITION
RIGHGEAR 2.307m -3.227m -2.699m #RIGHT LANDING GEAR POSITION
so the left gear is on the left and the right gear is on the right, instead of both being on the right side of the aircraft.
decaff you may want to rectify this issue.

Interesting problem there! I remember having a similar problem with the F-20s which was solved by doing as NightRaven has pointed out.
