Darkwalker6's Intro

Post by Darkwalker6 » Fri Aug 26, 2016 12:44 am

Hello! I am a new member, i joined August 10th. Even though I am only 10 years old, i try to be sensible and responsible. You can't be like "Oh you shouldn't be on the internet, you're a kid!" because this forum says that young members are allowed. Anyway, I've been interested in aviation since I was about 5-6 years old, and since then, have done anything I can to fulfill my dream of flying planes/helicopters for the rest of my life :) . I look forward to meeting more of the community. Please excuse any of my grammar mistakes. PM me if you ever want to fly! My parents let me on the internet because they know I know what I am allowed to do, so don't worry about needing my parents permission to socialize with me. I am smart enough to not give out my exact location, or my exact name. Bye!!!

I like to do stuff, I guess. I dug a hole in my backyard :\

Hi there, welcome to YSFHQ. I trust you when you say you are mature for your age. We've had older members give much worse intros than that.

However.

Well, yes... but no.

We are a USA bound website and thus must comply with USA laws, in particular the Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) which requires us to gain guardian consent to any member under the age of 13. As soon as we get it, you're as welcome as anyone.

I really do want to welcome you to the community proper but this is something that we have no choice but to do, I hope you understand. :)
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

You should link him or pm him that Consent form so he can quickly get that out of the way. If you already haven't of course.

And welcome btw

Would it work to take a picture of the completed form with a cell phone and text it to that address? Every 10-year-old I know has a cell phone these days.

When I was 10 I had a cell phone. It cost $2, looked like Zack Morris' brick phone, and made different sounds when you pressed the buttons.

Am I right that only one person has ever submitted the form on the HQ?

Nice to see another young aviation enthusiastic join HQ. Welcome :D

The A380 is ahead of its time. With the resilient passenger traffic growth for times to come (reference from Airbus's Global Market Forecast), plus congested airports, the A380 could not be ignored.
