[moddesc=http://www.mediafire.com/?48uszey4y80k31s]Hey guys its me Sandeep ! i was wondering alot of people prefer escorting civil aircraft so i decided to repaint a CF-18 Escorter especially for Escorting.
it is painted in the English flag format (St. Georges) and it is a RAF Escorter plane. And yes it is equipped with weapons so it is not classed as a un-armed aircraft
this is my first repaint i have released so please dont be to harsh :(

Yours sincerely,
Sandeep

Props for a release on your third post. Just a quick note though: the cf-18 is the canadian designation for the hornet, a more general one (like that might be used in the RAF if they had hornets) is the f/a-18 or f-18. ;)

In RAF use that would be the Hornet FGR.1

If the RN/FAA is using it, then it could be the Hornet FRS.1

Oh yeah, don't ever use red as the afterburner flame. It looks goofy.

The CF-18 has the same attributes as the USAF and USN F-18.

Funny thing is....the tactics that we use is different, if not better, then pilots from the States who fly the F-18.

Hey I'm curious theGeno, what tactics do we use here in canada that are superior than those used by american pilots?

For the most part. Its how their trained

Canadian Pilots are taught everything that there is to know, including memorizing the entire CF-188 manual (which is over 500 pages long) to every word. Knowing everything about your plane is key in air to air combat. Which is why Canadian Pilots have a very good track record at getting the job done. Although somewhat unproven in dogfighting, they have combat experience (although I believe we are credited with 2 downed Mig-21's during the whole mess in Yugoslovakia). Cold Lake also has the best training field for pilots (which is why pilots from around the world go there to train).

Oh, its also good to point that one of our CF-18's during Red Flag "shot down" a F-22 Aggressor by gun. The Aggressors are America's best pilots, and the F-22 is the best air to air fighter.

It goes to show that technology has nothing to do with superiority, its how much you know about your plane, and how you use that knowledge to outsmart the other guy.

Heh, I suppose that if your nation has 80 old tactical jets, you'd do well to get everything possible out of them. I'd not be surprised to see that Canada's pilots would have more time to spend on air to air work then their American brethren, who generally focus on ground attack. In the end, of course, it's stick time, not manual reading, which produces quality pilots. Canada's a great place to train - not too built up, and pretty far away from any anticipated threats, if anything like that should ever happen.

Anyway, Sandeep, it's nice to see a creative mod from a newcomer. Welcome, and congrats on your first public mod. It's certainly got folks talking.
